More Mulberry Stories

And here are more of our stories!!

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A grey cat pulling a piece of white paper. No a stripy tiger pulling a black piece of paper. But what about a tiger pulling a brown party house. Then a rainbow elephant pulling a black party house. A rainbow elephant pulling a instrument band truck with a French trailer on the back. Wait..that is too boring. What about a couple of kids pulling a wagon full of water with their pet fish called pish and a yellow instrument ban truck with a trailer on the back. Oh NO! Lytton Street runs into Monmouth street. I better make some traffic. So out came 4 green bikers. Hooray. I’m home with a gnome. “Dad, dad, all I saw today was a cat pulling a piece of white paper.”

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

An awesome car driving past real fast.

A zooming car driving past real fast with boosters on the back.

A big car driving past towing a plane. Na , that’s too boring. What about the plane having a big fat elephant dancing on the back.

How about the elephant having a man juggling quickly on the top.

I can do better than that. The plane should have heaps of balloons on the back. Na..I’ll just tell Dad the truth. “Hey Dad…all I saw was a cool car.”

By Connor.

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A stripy zebra walking. A zebra pulling a trailer. No that is not right. I want a mouse pulling the trailer, that is too boring. How about a rocket booster that mouse will go flying around. No wait, a bird can fly along with it. NO, no,no. A duck can waddle with the trailer. But then I got home and I said to my Mum “All I saw on Lytton Street today was a stripy zebra walking.”

By Christopher

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A yellow bumblebee flying. But wait what about a monkey. That is a bit boring. With a candycane..nah that’s too boring. What about a monkey swimming with red boots. It can be better than that. What about the monkey wearing a green top, dancing. But when I got home to Mum I said “All I saw was a bumblebee flying.”

By Emilee

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A blue car driving on the road. That’s odd. What about an icecream truck with balloons outside and people laughing and so did I.

camp - first persuasion

We think children should go on camp because we might learn stuff that we don't know which would be great fun

Secondly we can get to know people better which means we make new friends.

Thirdly there's fun stuff to do and which we would love it there.

We could also go glow worming which would be a new experience for some of us.

Therefore we think we should go to camp because it will be fun doing all these activities.

SO LET US GO TO CAMP

CAMP -Our first persuasion

I think that children should go on camp because we can do lots of really fun activities which means we can learn new things that we did not know.

Secondly we can get to know other people, which will be good because activities might be more interesting.

Another reason is there are new places to go which means we can explore.

Also we can go glow worming which will be a good experience for all of us.

Therefore I think that children should go on camp because we can learn, get to know people and get a good experience. So please let us go to camp.

And to think I saw it on Lytton Street!

Over the last few weeks Room 18 have been working on creating our own stories, based around TO think I saw it on Mulberry Street.
Here are some of our stories! Enjoy reading...remember they are supposed to be silly, just like Dr Seuss!! Keep an eye out for the rest of our work.

We had to

- create a picture plan
- build onto each sentence
- have a noun, verb and adjective in our sentences
- try to use a linking sentence between, such as It can be better than that

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A car going to park.
A truck going to help a car.
An ice cream car stopping in the street.
A cereal box lying on the ground.
The big cereal box getting carried away. But wait, that’s no good. I can see nuts popping out of the box.
Hi Mum, all I saw today was a car going to park in a parking spot.

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A big fat old truck on the road.
A big fat old truck with a a trailer on the back.
But wait...what about a loud radio singing?

Well, that’s a bit boring! How about a horn on the top.

It can be better than that! Some boosters on the back of the truck.
It can be better that that though. A big fat old truck on the road.

When I got home when Mum asked me what I had seen on the way to school all I said was “I saw was a big fat truck.”

By Ethan

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A car driving down the street.
A car doing skids , no wait suddenly the car crashed and it caught on fire. A banana fireman came to put out the fire and a man came too.

No but wait...I can see an elephant walking down the road.

Hold on..what about an elephant walking down the road, towing with a carriage on the back, covered with spaghetti and the people diving into the spaghetti.

No that’s too boring, what about it started to raining chocolate and marshmellows!!
Now that is cool!

When I got home when Mum asked me what I had seen on the way to school all I said was
“A car driving down the street.”

By Iuean

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A dog walking on the street. Naa.. not that. A strong dog. Wait, a deadly dog! Don’t that though. How about a dog chasing a cat. Do you like that? I want a monster dog in war. That’s boring. A crazy dog with a knife gun.
But when I got home “Hey Dad, all I saw was a dog walking on the street.”

By Zachary

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

I saw a puppy on a lead on a road.
Oh no! A pink puppy pulling a truck.
Oh no , a pink puppy pulling a truck and with a booster on her back and a balloon.
But wait...what about a pink puppy pulling a truck and a balloon with a monkey on top.
But wait...that’s boring. A pink leopard pulling a truck with a monkey on top and a big ice cream.
When I got home when Mum asked me what I had seen on the way to school all I said was
“ I only saw a puppy.”

By Meagan

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A puppy running down the road. It can better than that.
I saw a ginger puppy with a blue truck behind it. But wait...what about a rainbow monkey behind the truck and playing upside down? Oh that’s a bit boring.
What about a bat adding a blue hat on the top of the truck? I can add more than that. What about a twirl on top of the hat going around and around? It can be way better than that. What about a ear beside the twirl. That’s odd. Let’s have an ear going up and down on the the twirl. Next I could have a monkey swinging off a piece of wood.

But when I get home all I say to Dad “All I saw today was a puppy running down the street.”

By Jaimee

And to think that I saw it on Lytton Street...

A wagon with a horse dragging its legs along the road. Oh wait on a second there is a zooming bee that wants to sting me...nah..that’s odd.

Hold on, what about a cat chasing behind the wagon and trying to catch up. How about a cat with a hat or a cat with a hat with a lamp on top? Now that the better sentence you ever bet!

So when I get home all I say to Dad is “All I saw was a wagon with a house.”
