We have been learning about how Dr Seuss contributed to our society. Here is some information we found out about Dr Seuss

The Lorax

 

Room 18 have been doing art around the Lorax. Heres what we had to do:
First we had to paint our paper. Then cut and glue on our coloured grass.
After that we had to draw our tree in chalk then paint it.
Then we drew our Lorax on white paper and painted it light or dark brown.
We cut it out and glued it on and then we had finished!

We are learning to work with others

In the first 3 days of school we focused on the Habit of Mind: Working with Others.
Here are our photos to show what Working with Others Looks Like. We worked in a group and had to somehow show the class what we thought Working With Others would look like. We then had to explain it. Here are our photos - how do you think we went?

This morning we had a little bit of time to see what facts we could find out about plant eating dinosaurs or the Brontosaurus. Here are some of them...can you add to them?

Brontosaurus became the most famous species of all time (Keisha)
The Seismosaurus actually means earthquake reptile (Brianna)
Brontosaurus was discovered in 1874 (Jolene)
Bronotosaurus name is Thunder Lizard (Jack/Joshua)
The name Brontosaurus is now called Apatosaurus (Joshua/Jack)
Brontosaurus had a tiny brain (Olivia/Savannah)
Brontosaurus had a 100year life span (Savannah/Olivia)
Plant eating dinosaurs did not chew food (charlotte)
Bronotosuarus is maybe related to the Loch Ness (Francis)
